The VP of Managed Services job is to provide leadership to the Managed Services Department at Cyber Advisors Inc.

The primary duties of VP of Managed Services are the following:

  1. Maintain Employees retention and future development
  2. Maintain Customer retention
  3. Maintain and further enhance the profitability of the department
  4. Provide continuous growth of the Managed Services Department
  5. Establish and maintain customer service via remote and on-site ad-hoc and scheduled meetings and surveys

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish, maintain, and evaluate the program to support the company’s overall goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance to company established procedures
  • Develop and maintain an effective department through the selection, training, compensation, motivation, and discipline of direct staff
  • Supervise team of mid-level managers (Service Desk Manager, NOC Manager, Engineering Group manager) as well as provide leadership and guidance to Network Engineers, Network Technicians and Service Desk Administrators directly
  • Make sure engineers and technicians follow up the procedures and policies
  • Provide guidance and direction to the services personnel to assist them in their professional development
  • Conduct training necessary for professional development of the engineers and other technical personnel. Be responsible for the professional growth on engineers, providing development and training plans
  • Ensure day-to-day business and training schedules are coordinated
  • Create performance metrics for the employees and monitor their business activities
  • Identify and coordinate mentoring/shadowing opportunities. Maintain knowledge sharing
  • Conduct engineering regular team meetings

Company’s Clients Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee for the installation and administration of business systems, databases and intranets for company’s clients according to the signed contracts and regular engagements
  • Identify opportunities to help customers through customized network solutions
  • Responsible for preparing for meetings and tailoring communications to address business needs of current and potential clients as part of the company’s processes
  • Conduct regular meetings and conference calls with company’s clients to ensure their satisfaction level

Duties and Responsibilities of Working with Sales and Management Teams:

  • Work with Sales Personnel and pre-sales engineers to provide product, business and technical knowledge in support of pre-sales activities
  • Be part of the sales and delivery process for proposed solutions
  • In conjunction with Sales Personnel, develop and conduct transition briefing – communicate commitments, expectations, customer organization, etc.
    Work with sales group to create proposals and technology roadmaps
  • Provide post-sales support to the customers


  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Strong leadership skills
  • 10+ years in a related IT function – preferred existing MSP experience
  • EOS/Traction experience preferred
  • 5+ years minimum managing technical staff
  • Knowledge of MSP business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification preferred
  • Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Ability to apply IT in solving business problems
  • Awareness of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
